You'll need 3 cups of white flour 1 1/2 cups of whole wheat flour, 1 teaspoon of salt, 2 tablespoons of baking powder, 1 cup of cold butter cut into pieces, 2/3 of the cup of milk, a zip lock bag, and some cookie cutters. First place the dry ingredients in a large bowl and mix, be prepared for things to get a little messy it's all part of the fun. Using a fork blend in the butter until you mixture is crumbling. Now we've made our basic mix. Place 2 cups of the mixture in a bowl you'll have extra left over to make biscuits another day, just store in the fridge then add the milk and stir. Now it's time to knead the dough and here's where your kids can really have some fun. Put the dough's in a zip lock bag and seal it, then let your child mix it with his hands, punch it, karate chop it until it's kneaded don't worry if the dough doesn't come out perfectly this recipe is kid proof. Next on a lightly flower surface pat or roll the dough out so it's about a half inch thick, then let your children use their favorite cookie cutters to make fun shape biscuits. Here's a tip, dip the cutters and flour to keep them from sticking, bake it 425 degrees for 10 to 20 minutes until they're golden brown. There's nothing better than freshly baked biscuits. Enjoy!
